World Alzheimer’s Month 2023: ‘Never Too Early, Never Too Late’

Posted on: 1/09/2023

September is World Alzheimer's Month which aims to raise awareness and challenge the stigma that surrounds dementia.

This year’s theme, ‘Never too early, never too late’, will centre around the risk factors as well as risk reduction. The campaign aims to highlight the importance of identifying risk factors and a proactive approach to implementing risk reducing measure which can delay, and in some cases even prevent, the onset of dementia. This also includes ongoing risk reduction for those who have already received a diagnosis.

How can Progress Lifeline support people living with dementia?

Progress Lifeline supports people living with dementia by providing solutions which allow the service user to feel supported and more independent. In particular, our personal lifeline alarm and Footprint device are particularly beneficial to people living with dementia.

We have a dedicated section on our website which provides more information on how we can help here. On this page, you will see links to other resources including tips on how to get a better night’s sleep, where you can go for support and Dementia-friendly activities to enjoy with your loved ones.

Hear it direct from a service user

Progress Lifeline service user John told us his story of living with dementia, and how our home technology and remote monitoring helps him and his family.
