Think Self Care for Life is about making improvements in your life to protect your physical health and mental wellbeing.
Follow these small steps to a healthier you:
- Get down and boogie - Put on an upbeat record and get dancing around the kitchen table to your favourite songs! Getting active can be fun and simple.
- Make quick positive changes - Why not scratch off a lurker on your to-do list, something that’s been there for ages and you’ll never do. Alternatively, if you are struggling with a task, ask for help - big or small, just make sure you reach out.
- Rest - A good’s night’s sleep is as essential to our health and wellbeing as eating healthily and exercising so why not try to go to bed 15 mins earlier one night this week.
- Stop! - These days we lead such busy lives that we sometimes forget to slow down and stop. Taking a lunch break or coffee break is essential – a break gives your mind a chance to process your thoughts and it gives some perspective on a situation or task that needs completing.
It’s never too early or too late to begin to make small, simple changes that will enhance and protect your health now and, in the future, and often, one small change will make a big difference to your wellbeing. Make self-care your new lifelong habit.
