Our Progress Lifeline Event
Posted on: 29/08/2019On Saturday 24th August we hosted our very own Progress Lifeline event at Barton Grange Garden Centre. It was a day full of activities for all generations to enjoy together and create fun memories as a family whilst providing Information, advice and guidance about living safe and well. Barton Grange was a wonderful venue and the weather was glorious.
We were joined by ‘Just Reminiscing’ who provide vintage objects to bring back memories of days gone by for the older generation who attended and it was great to get grandparents showing their grandchildren what toys they used to play with when they were younger. We’re glad to see the event brought families together, interacting and spending quality time together enjoying activities.
The ‘STEADY On!’ team, were on hand with practical advice about falls prevention and replaced lots of worn ferrules for free. At the event the ‘STEADY On!’ were able to arrange home visits where they can carry out a falls risk assessment and look into whether further clinical support is needed. If you think that you would benefit from the ‘STEADY On!’ initiative, you can refer yourself onto the programme by calling, 01524 519553.
Rosemary and Time, was also there on the day and everyone had the chance to make and take home a ‘cress head’ which will grow and need a haircut! There was also the option to have your picture taken with the cress head in our progress lifeline corner, kindly gifted to us by C and W Berry.
The children were also able to get creative whilst enjoying the games and prizes we had on offer as well as the arts and crafts table where they showed their artistic talents making their own pieces of artwork with glitter, glue, stickers and more!
Our Progress Lifeline team were happy to discuss some of the home monitoring sensors and services we provide for a wide variety of different needs to help you live safely at home. We demonstrated how our assisted lifting chair works in helping you get back on your feet after a fall without the need for an ambulance. This service is available for just £14.99 a month as part of our Emergency Home Response package.
Thank you to everyone who came and joined us on the day. Our photographer on the day captured some lovely moments and family photos that were taken away and cherished with the memories of the day. We received such positive feedback from everyone who attended and we will be doing more events in the future that we will keep you updated on.
